I was born in the Eastern Cape in Mthatha. I studied Teacher‘s Course at Cicira Training College. I taught in the Eastern Cape for 32 years where I spent 8 years in normal schools and 24 years in a special school for the Physical Challenged. I further studied DSE (Diploma in Special Education) through DET in Pretoria. I added FDE (Further Diploma in Special Education through University of Pretoria (Remedial)
After 32 years teaching experience in the Eastern Cape, I was employed in the Western Cape Education Department, teaching in a Special School in Cape Town (Khayelitsha Special School). I decided to spread my wings to the Eden Karoo District where I retired after 8 years.
Early this year I met the Towermaths team. They introduced to me the Towermaths concept which is a new exciting way of doing Mathematics. I joined the team in February this year. This program focusses on the Foundation Phase, starting in Gr R and Gr 1. It helps learners to use patterns to understand and know number names, sequencing and place value in a fun way.
